I love early September-and no not just because holidays are a bit cheaper and universities are almost back!
September is all about new pencil cases, blank exercise books, new school shoes and bags and a proper fresh start! It is, after all, a new term and it can be a new term for everyone-not just students and school children.
I think it is a great time of year for reflection and planning because there is still quite a lot of the year to go and plenty of time to start thinking about what you would really love to do next.
I already have a few ideas for things I am going to do before the end of 2019 and will be spending the next few days fine tuning plans and ideas and looking at what I action I will need to take to make sure I get there.
So if you are feeling like you want to make some changes but you haven’t quite got there yet, then read on to discover my three top reasons for starting something new in September.
- You have probably had some time off OR you are about to take some time off. A rest, holiday, or break of any sort from the usual routine is the perfect opportunity to take stock, think about what you really want to do next and start getting inspired to take some action.
- September is a truly fresh start. It’s the ideal time of year to let go of anything that you no longer need or want in your life. This could be anything from decluttering your home, to looking for a new job, taking up a new hobby or working towards some other ambitious goals.
- When we are feeling rested we have more confidence and often a bit more space in our lives because we have had a break! Use this confidence and time to make some bold moves and promise yourself that you will start a daily writing or journaling routine to help you move towards new goals.
One of my new goals for the next season is to launch a spanking new course that I have been building for several months. It should be available by the first week in September-all shiny and new and ready for the new ‘term.’ It’s been a labour of love and is so much better than my previous courses. I am super proud of it and I know it’s going to help transform even more lives. So send me some positive vibes to help me with the final push ready for next week!
