My name is Sarah Adams and I am the creator of Write Your Life, the unique Personal Development Programme that USES DAILY JOURNALING AND WRITING exercises to create transformational changes.
I have worked with hundreds of people who have all joined my Write Your Life programme and seen astonishing results- all through starting a daily writing routine.
Write Your Life was created for people just like you who have lost their sass, are hungry for change but just don’t know where to start. This personal development programme will get you inspired, fired up and ready to write your way to awesome, and I am here to help!
Thank you for joining me on this free mini course. I hope it will help you kickstart your goal setting and clear the clutter ready fior some big, exciting changes!
By the end of this course you will be able to start a daily journaling routine, understand how journaling can help you get some clarity, and start to use journaling and the WYL PROGRAMME to set some ambitious goals.
So-before we begin we need to be real and honest about what is going on here. Firstly, I know how you feel right now because I have been there-stuck, frustrated, perhaps feeling a little lacklustre and definitely lacking any kind of sass! When everyone around you seems to be doing so well and are having such a fantastic life and your life is nothing like that it’s hard to get up every day and keep going-BUT! Get up and keep going we must because that is the only way we will ever make any changes.
I am sure I don’t need to tell you this, but the truth is that unless you make some changes and do something about your situation then guess what-yep-nothing will change!
By taking part in this course you can quickly start to see how by making small tweaks to your daily routine, adopting a positive mindset and making daily writing a priority you can make massive changes fast.
Write Your Life is a personal development programme based on the transformational power of daily writing. This means that the first thing you have to do-for this programme to work for you-is to adopt a daily writing habit.
Here are some reasons why writing is so helpful.
By writing down our thoughts and feelings we can clear our minds and take ownership of our situation. Writing gives us clarity, helps us develop new ideas and releases stress and tension. It gives us time to collect our thoughts and process what’s really going on in our lives-good and bad.
Making time and space to write every day is crucial for everyone who joins the WYL programme, so to make sure that your daily writing practice works, here are our top daily writing hacks:
Before you start….Create a mental trigger-if you always stop for coffee at 10.30am then use that as your writing time. Put it in your diary as a non-negotiable appointment with yourself.
Make sure you have a new hardbacked journal and plenty of pens and pencils to hand.
Find a peaceful, inspiring place to write where you feel comfortable and able to focus.
Turn off your phone, the TV, radio and any other distractions-a mini digital de-tox will really help.
Use free writing every day-just write freely for five minutes about what’s going on and how you are feeling, Write in any way you like, it doesn’t have to make sense to anyone apart from you!
Don’t aim for perfection-instead aim to fill your pages with as much as you can. This is a good way to start unravelling your thoughts and to start recognising what’s not working so well for you.
The Write Your Life quickstart programme
Every day for a week, write in your journal. For the first two days use free writing. On days 3-6 continue with free writing but add in a daily gratitude exercise where you write down at least three things in your life that you are truly grateful for do this every morning and evening.
On day 7 as well as the free writing and the gratitude exercises, also complete this exercise which is called
5…4…3…2…1 LET’S GO!
- For FIVE minutes write FAST about how you are FEELING. Don’t edit, just write.
- List FOUR things that you think you need to CLEAR from your life.
- List THREE things in your life that you are truly grateful for
- List TWO things that you would really love to achieve or change
- Write the ONE BIG GOAL that you would really love to smash this year.
Use the 5,4,3,2,1 exercise every day for another week and see what comes up for you-write your way to awesome one step at a time.
I hope you have found this mini course useful and that you have started to see and feel some positive changes already.
