Hello!
How did you find yesterday’s challenge? Have you really thought about how you want your life to be in a week, a month or a year? I really hope that the first task has helped you to start defining how you would like your life to be, and given you some clarity and confidence to make those changes.
Now onto the second challenge!
WRITE THAT FEELING
Capturing an emotion in words makes it feel more real. We can’t change things if we don’t acknowledge them. It’s easy to acknowledge what we are thinking but it’s not always easy to accept how we FEEL. And writing about our feelings is often very hard-BUT…by writing down how you FEEL you will become more comfortable with how your emotions can impact on and influence your ideas and plans. This is very important as we start to set goals.
In your journal write down the heading: TODAY I AM FEELING…
Write freely and honestly about exactly HOW you feel about any part of your life-let it flow and don’t stop writing until you can start to see how writing about your feelings can really give you clarity and focus.
WRITE WHAT YOU NEED
Humans have various needs, and Abraham Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs identifies a pattern through which we usually move.
These basic needs are:
Physiological, safety, love and belonging and esteem and when we have all these basic needs met we are able to achieve self actualisation.
Think about how far YOUR needs are being met. Write down how you feel about the following:
Are you getting enough…
ATTENTION
PRIVACY
EMOTIONAL CONNECTIONS
SECURITY
INTIMACY
FUN
Are you happy about your STATUS, SENSE OF CONTROL, PURPOSE AND MEANING, AND ACHIEVEMENT LEVELS.
Are there any areas of your life where you FEEL there is a lack or a need to change?
Write it ALL down in your journal and then let me know how you are getting on. You can email me direct here
See you tomorrow for Day 3!
